What we collect

When you create a BaitPlanner account we store your name, business name, and email address. If you connect a Shopify store, we sync your product catalog, inventory levels, and order line items (product, quantity, price, and date) to power sales-velocity planning. We do not collect or store your customers' names, emails, addresses, or payment details.

How we use it

Your data is used for one thing: running BaitPlanner's features for you — production planning, recipe management, cost tracking, and inventory. We never sell your data, never share it with third parties for marketing, and never look at your recipes or business data except to provide support you've asked for.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres) and our application is hosted on Vercel. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security — your account can only ever read its own rows. Uploaded images (recipe swatches, reference photos) live in private storage buckets accessible only to your account.

Service providers we rely on

BaitPlanner uses a small set of vendors to run the service. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Shopify — if you connect your store, we read your products, inventory, and order line items via their API.
  • Stripe — subscription billing. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
  • Resend — delivers transactional email, such as invoices you choose to send to your wholesale customers.
  • Anthropic — powers optional AI production insights. When you use those features, relevant sales/production figures are processed to generate the insight; they are not used to train AI models.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to export a copy of your data or delete it entirely — email us and we'll complete either within 30 days. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), those rights — access, correction, deletion, portability — are honored through the same email. We don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of.

Shopify

BaitPlanner requests read-only access to your Shopify products, inventory, and orders. We cannot modify your store. Disconnecting your store in Settings stops all syncing; you can also uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time, which revokes our access entirely. When a store uninstalls BaitPlanner, we automatically honor Shopify's data-erasure webhooks and delete the order history we synced from that store. Order line items we store contain product, quantity, price, and date only — never shopper names, emails, addresses, or payment details.

Children

BaitPlanner is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Email us and we'll permanently delete your account and every piece of data associated with it within 30 days. If a store owner or Shopify requests deletion of shop data, we honor it on the same timeline.

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies.
